Thank you all for your kind replies. Unfortunately? I went to the One Drive Online site? And though some pic's were there? The vast majority? They ARE gone. Needless to say? I am not the least bit happy with Microsoft right now. Thousands of memories are now just that. Memories. Both Yahoo & Google did a similar things to me in the past. They do some kind of upgrade? Then all of a sudden? All of your memories & important documents are gone. This is why I do not like "Cloud" Services. Which is why I uninstalled One Drive in the first place. These platforms are like nuclear power plants. They work great for a while? But when they screw up? They screw up BIG. Microsoft always has been an overly invasive company. And, various episodes such as this over the years? Doesn't exactly make me want to use them as an operating system or for anything else. I might as well go back to using Linux.

I am sorry to say that you have zero sympathy from me. If you lose any personal data, it is obviously your fault, you can not blame others for your inaction.

Huh? Microsoft loses your files ... therefore the fault is YOURS?
    Faulty ... faulty ... must ... sterilize. :)

But there are some takeaways here ...

    1. One drive has been flaky for years. I used it briefly. It failed. I stopped using it.

    2. I've had no such troubles with google drive. But there remains the best advice: Do your own backups locally.
