Windows 10: JPEG and PFG Thumbnails not working, not loading properly.

I was trying to finish renaming a lot of my photos. But the thumbnails stopped working all of a sudden. I have tried several recommended options which were listed here 4 Methods to Fix Picture Thumbnails Not Showing on Windows 10 and none have worked.

The most important one issue i have noticed is the the command for going into view mode and folder options tab is greyed out. It only opens by manually searching in search bar. And the unchecking the "Always Show Icons, Never Thumbnails." did not work.

The only program where i am currently to view my thumbnails is by opening it a opening menu through photoshop.

Most importantly i don't have any restore points to test it and i don't have any warranty or time and resources for a re-install.

Also got this error all of a sudden for the folder options all of a sudden locked out from searching for it with search menu

    EDIT
It's mostly affecting my pictures in a subfolder where my adult pictures folders are. Thing is the thumbnails only failed because i was sorting them. I have backups of them but how do i restore folder access and completely repair the thumbnails.
Also using a command to opening pictures in photo or or a web-browser which usually never happens. Even right click to make new folder is causing freezing.

Yes still use the Lenovo. I didn't stick with any of the antiviruses. (It seemed like the only thing interfering that the Driver Software was poorly outdated from the manufacturer)

None. I've been safe and it has kept ALL antivirus errors away. Can we get back to the folders

Analysing the problem, to try and establish the cause, is in my opinion, quite relevant to the antivirus in use, I have known instances of antivirus - resulting in messages such as you have - "You may not have the appropriate permissions etc."

I have also known the cause to be the acquisition of unwanted software, that in your case did not have to beat the antivirus.

I will leave the topic and I am sure other people will offer help. Good luck with it

To add about the AV, Windows Defender/Windows Security is usually activated when not installing third-party AV programs unless it has been removed/disabled.

The downside of Windows-based programs is they seldom are stand-alone, rely upon other parts of the OS for working so there is always going to be questions about issues that may be tied to other things, have to narrow down/eliminate possibilities. Got a computer in just yesterday with the only voiced issue is the arrow doesn't work, with COVID I can't get into the care center to work with the resident/client.

I just got through this with a good Windows assistant named deepikaand a program of theirs called desktop view. (allows them to use a virtual pen to point out while they see my desktop.)
