Dell 7548 failed bios update, won't boot. Dell is handling issue

My laptop started displaying a screen during some shutdown attempts and would restart instead. I had to take a picture to read it and it said "Flash update failed, flash image invalid or not found, system will reset in 5 seconds."
This prompted me to check dells site which said I had an urgent bios update. Downloaded the file, installed and it locked up. Nothing made progress, mouse cursor wouldn't move nothing for 30 minutes. Had to force shutdown. Now it just shows a black screen at powerup, no display, backlit keyboard doesn't light.
    PC running Win10,
    Any ideas?

Dell key combo did nothing, tried with and without using power button.
From the other links, I don't have a floppy and I'll check if the bios is socketed or soldered. The third link, what would I name the files since I don't have a Vostro?

    Thank you for your reply.

The last is just indicative.. if yours is not supported by the DELL feature (did you check that?) then you will need to appeal to your manufacturer of nothing else works.

My warranty expired in 2016, so I might fall into method 1 or 2 (I could look for my receipt).
Edit: If I hold the end key and plug in ac computer will power on automatically, but then the same black screen.
    Edit2: Bought 9/15, so definitely method 1.

First one powers on to nothing, second doesn't apply because Dell doesn't appear (like no post at all), and the third I tried from the first member.
    I'm thinking the motherboard died..

    Indicate any beep codes:

    What is POST?

No beep codes. If I put my head next to the speaker I hear a tiny click, but the pattern is never the same. So I doubt there anything.

If you're comfortable inside the computer you can temporarily remove and reinstall the CMOS battery to see if it makes any difference.
