Returning tablet for warranty exchange- how to clean my data

I am returning my Surface tablet for a warranty exchange. Are there any precautions I should take with my data on the PC (Windows 10 Pro)?
    .
I have already deactivated the Windows 10 license and copied my data, but is there any risk of my passwords (I am using Google Chrome) getting stolen? I thought of installing Linux then formatting the partitions. What would you do?

Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Reset this PC.

    Select Remove everything.

To double check, download and run the free tool Recuva from Piriform.

Download Recuva | Recover deleted files, free!

It will show you if there is any recoverable personal data on the system.

    DBAN doesn't work on SSD's.

    From DBAN -

While DBAN is free to use, there’s no guarantee your data is completely sanitized across the entire drive. It cannot detect or erase SSDs and does not provide a certificate of data removal for auditing purposes or regulatory compliance. Hardware support (e.g. no RAID dismantling), customer support and software updates are not available using DBAN.

Use Eraser from Eraser – Secure Erase Files from Hard Drives . It overwrites all deleted data, which is what I think you want to do.

No, it's going directly to Microsoft.
