Sometimes computers boots with no sound.

No matter what application I open, whether it be a video in an internet browser or a game, I can't hear anything. I then have to reboot my computer, to which everything works fine. I do not have a sound card. I have an HDMI cable connected straight to my graphics card. The problem only started happening when I upgraded to Windows 10.

At first glance, it would seem like the Sound (Audio) Driver is not correct for Windows 10 and sometimes it loads correctly and sometimes it does NOT. I'd be looking for an updated Sound Driver for your computer. (whatever that may be)

So far I've installed Windows 10 on a number of different PC's, both desktop and laptop, of different ages and I've had NO sound problems. The package of drivers that comes with Windows 10 is the best I've ever seen, and I've been at this stuff since even before MS Windows was invented.
I thought the driver pack that came with Windows 8.1 was good, but the pack that comes with Windows 10 (Pro) is even better.

You don't say anything about your computer, so without that info, making any specific suggestions is almost impossible.
But, maybe you can go to the website of whoever made your computer and see if they have any specific Windows 10 sound drivers. I'd start there.

    Good Luck!
