2004 focus assist notfications & actions but focus assiant is turn off

    windows 2004

so since I was having issues with window defender scheduler scan task not working right in windows 2004

I decided to do media creation tool 2004 fresh windows update

now I do can say that in action center I do have focus assist off and if I click on moon focus assist thing I see focus assist off in settings

I don't remember when I did windows feature update 2004 seeing in notifications and actions sorted most recent

but I notice focus assist banner sound on i'm not sure why that's there if I got focus assistant turn off

umm my concern is that normal thing within version 2004 if one goes into windows version 2004 either by windows feature update or media creation tool?

meaning I will still get notify time to time on other stuff inside action center like windows summary scan still or despite that I have focus assist turn off I still need to turn that off notification and actions?

I did restart computer right after I log in btw

so can somebody please look into this and tell me if i'm ok to ignore that or not

Hi. I noticed the same thing. In my case even with Focus assist turned off, it is being used to get the Windows Defender scan notification in the Action list. In past versions I think it was Settings or Windows Explorer that produced that notification. Windows Defender scheduled scan rarely worked right in any Windows 10 versions. I created my own WD scheduled scan task which works perfectly. I'd be happy to show you how to create that task if you don't know how to. Good luck.

Yes. You can ignore it. It is strange though that Focus Assist is giving the WD scan notifications. This is just one of several things that are kind of buggy in version 2004. However, every feature update seems to cause issues of some sort. Most are nothing more than annoying while others for some people can be much more. I hope I have answered your question.

    Ii get the WD notification

My WD scan (that I created to do a daily scheduled scan) results always show up in the Action Center generated by Focus Assist. I rarely do a manual scan so I can't remember if those will show up in the Action Center (generated from Focus Assist). In a nutshell it sounds like all is good on your end and does not need to be changed or altered or anything like that. You have nothing to be concerned about as it seem like you have typical version 2004 behavior. I was at one time going to post about this myself but didn't as it didn't really seem like an issue worth mentioning. I hope my replies are giving you some clarity. If not I'll be happy to assist you further. As long as you are getting the notifications that you expect, the source creating them is really not that important. As I mentioned previously, every Feature Update brings along some issue or other but most are harmless and can be ignored. For example: DistributedCom 10016 Errors in the Event Viewer have been around for a long time and the only thing that MS did was change them to Warnings. They are completely harmless and can be ignored. Holler at me if you need any more help.

ok and you do know why I choose to do that Microsoft creation tool is because windows feature 2004 was wonky or something and the 4 task were not working right windows defender like verification runs 3rd of every day but when I went in there back on 13th it seems every mon cleanup ran but not 1st 2 task I try to run them restart nothing and verification ran everyday

so again i'm hoping media creation tool 2004 help it and they will run normally after verification scan ran they wouldn't even run when reboot computer like in 1909

they did get back reset yesterday so just wait and see come tomorrow see what will happened hopefully i'm good with tasks I do see that option to go back previous build again if I need to

I do understand what your saying. Only the WD Verification task and WD Scan task leave notifications. But the WD Scan task other than after a reboot returns a result of (0x2) which is why I created my own WD Scan Scheduled task. The WD Cache Maintenance task runs usually every 1 to 3 days and the WD Cleanup task runs usually every 1 to 3 days. These are approximations but should be fairly close, When you get things set up and running as well as possible you should make a system image using Macrium Reflect (free version is fine). This is constantly and wisely recommended on this forum and is so much faster that trying to do a System Restore (which sometimes fails) or a roll back to a previous version of Windows. Use a 1 or 2 TB external hard drive for the backup images (very inexpensive). Hope everything works out well for you. Good luck!

yeah I hope so i'm still a little scared what going to happened after tomorrow when verification does start to scan since its only been 2 days nothing ran yet do you actually think that windows defender cache maintenance and scheduler scan task will run like they should and cleanup after verification runs normally and when I restart computer sometimes in idol they will after good 15 20 mins or 30 not using computer like in 1909

or do you think I will still have issue those 2 task won't run but cleanup will 1 time besides verification runs everyday which I had windows features update 2004 back on 13th

I really hope they will start to scan normally after I did windows creation tool 2004 while already in 2004 yesterday

I don't want to roll back 1909 if they don't run automatically by windows system maintenance again lets see what happens tomorrow

I still not a fan not seeing windows feature update in windows history oh well

Don't worry. Those tasks will run. Initially after a reset of WD, the tasks may not run for 3 or more days. But they will run at some point. I suggest that you don't look at the Task Scheduler for a few days and then after that, have a look. I'm pretty sure that it will all be fine. Get back to me after the weekend (Monday or Tuesday) and update me then. You're really worrying about nothing but I understand. I'm somewhat fanatical about things working right and keeping a "well oiled" machine.
