Seeking ways to change this File Explorer behavior

When browsing folders to check/edit their contents using the Details view option, I notice that File Explorer has the following behavior:

    - I open a folder then go back

    - File Explorer puts that last visited folder in its bottom

When browsing folders that way, one goes most of times from top to bottom, so I think File Explorer should position the last visited folder on the top of the list. Putting it on the bottom is somewhat annoying.

Is there a way to change that? TIA.

Are you referring to the sort order in File Explorer?

No, Paul is referring to the behaviour of the Navigation pane.

Hi Pailtx, I found several references to re-ordering folders in the navigation pane but I don't think that's exactly what you want. Check out this thread, specifically posts 8 & 9 for re-ordering type directions. If you have the time to experiment a bit, this might lead you in the right direction to figure out a solution.

How to sort "This PC" or "Quick Access" in Navigation Pane?
