Reset all settings back to default in each area of Windows Settings?

Hi all -

Here is what I want to do and I'm not sure if it can be done.

In every area of Windows settings, is it possible to set each main section back to default values?

For example - Start -> Windows Settings -> System (and all sub-sections.)

It would make life a bit easier for some things. Not "Reset This PC."
Just the values are set back to install defaults.

No, not that, as I mentioned above.

In Windows Settings you have several categories, right?

Example -

System, Personalization, Updates & Security, Apps, Accounts, etc.

Now, let's say that I just want to reset Personaliztion back to installation defaults. Everything under that heading.

That's what I would like to do - but only for specific headings, etc.

Take a look at Tweaking.com - Windows Repair Free/Pro.

Download the Portable version. It has a lot of selectivity as to what gets repaired (restored to default).

If you need it for more than one computer, you could create a custom file to reset all settings.
Usually removing reg values will reset them to default or you can set them to the original value.

There are a few specific options here and there to reset something to default; if you search this list for 'reset' you will find more. There's no one simple way AFAIK.

I want to know aswell! I wish Microsoft had a built-in option for this, because there are so many times I just want to reset some small things in Windows. Instead I need to 'hack' it, and I don't know how.

Perhaps the solution that I'm looking for does not exist.

Unfortunately Compumind (post #1) specifically excluded a reset, which would have been my first thought, though with obvious disadvantages.
