    Transferring windows 10 to another PC

    I am thinking about building a new Desktop PC and I was wondering if it's possible to use my actual windows 10 license on the new PC? I bought the old laptop from HP and do not remember if I paid for a Retail or OEM license ! But this is what I get when I run the bellow command:

    Also if it is possible to transfer the windows 10 from laptop to new PC how do I extract and find out the product key from the laptop?

    Its not clear do you want to try and clone the old pc to new or do a clean install on new pc? Its highly likely if you try to use the same key on another pc it wont activate as you have used it

    No, I don't want to clone. Just a clean install on the new PC. Also I am no longer intending to use the laptop. So it will be only used on one PC.

    That article is erroneous in that running slmgr /upk really accomplishes nothing on the old computer in regards to licensing. The digital license for Windows 10 on the old computer is permanently stored on Microsoft Activation Servers and simply removing the product key from the computer does nothing to change that.

    @rezpower,
    You need to run Showkey Plus on the laptop:

    Thanks a lot for your answer. You are totally right and ShowKeyPlus gave me the right information.
    According to it I have a "Windows 8 RTM PRO OEM DM"

    You won't be able to move the license from old laptop to new desktop then.
