Problem with folder name in 'This PC'

I'm running, Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.330)
Just briefly I'm on a new laptop and have been making changes including adding a second SSD (SATA 2.5") as well as installing a larger M.2 SSD and my system drive. All is working well except for one issue that is driving me nuts.

Also I have moved my Documents and Downloads directories to the D: drive with a junction to the C: drive. I did this originally because I undersized the C: drive when I bought the laptop. That is no longer an issue but still wanted to leave them where they are.

OK, finally to the issue, when I look at 'This PC' instead of "Documents" it shows "Documents1", I have it pointed to "Documents" but still find it annoying.

Can anyone help me with this? Please understand that I am an oldtime long time Unix/LInux guy and am fairly new to Windows and very new to Windows 10

Curious as to why you used junctions rather than the built-in Location
features.

Can you post screenshots of:

• The Location tab of the Properties dialog for the folders in question
• Registry Editor (regedit.exe) expanded to key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Also:

1. <Shift>+Right-click in the folder background
2. Select Open PowerShell window here
3. Type: gc desktop.ini
4. Copy the output to your reply

Thanks for the reply, in answer to your first question, I was aware of the built in location feature but just decided to try junctions instead just to see how they worked.
I did search the registry but could not find that key.

At any rate, I had left the computer to take my dog out and when I got back the Documents1 directory was gone and "This PC" looked fine, not sure why but for now I'm going to let it go.
I think next I'm going to turn on unix/linux support so I'll probably be back.
