If you happen to already have a Win 7 Pro license key from another machine, you can use that key to install Win 10 Pro. During installation, when asked for the license key, enter the Win 7 key and Win 10 will activate fine.

You absolutely can install Win 10 without using a MS account, the option to use a local account is there but MS does make it less obvious since they would prefer you use an MS account. Personally, I have machines using both and there really isn't much difference.

Why Windows 10 Pro? What features in Pro will you use that are missing from Windows 10 Home?
