I have some files in Notepad Ansi Text Document in Windows 10. I cannot read them. I have tried changing the regional system info, but it is correctly in English. What can I do?
What is the extension of the file name, e.g. .txt? Did you create the text files or did they come from another source? Have you tried opening them in WordPad or another word processor such as Word, WordPerfect, Lotus WordPro, LibreOffice [free]? Could they have come from the older Microsoft Works? A situation exists with Notepad in that it is only a text editor, not a word processor, doesn't do well with formatting.
