    File explorer ribbon missing

I am on windows 10 build 2004. For some reason, my explorer ribbon is just missing. I looked through a few old forum posts on here, but they suggest opening the drop down menu at the top, which is also somehow missing for me. Attached a screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. Right click above the Address bar and UNcheck minimize the ribbon? OR... are you looking for the File, Computer, View buttons?

I tried that already, no option to do that. It just shows this:

Ghot - None of that accounts for what the OP is seeing. Denis

Possibly. His s/s looks the same as mine except for the... File, Computer and View buttons.

I'm probably missing something though. Wouldn't be the 1st time.

Well, the left ALT key will give you the ribbon bar. Assuming nothing is otherwise broken.

The Left ALT key should do that for ANY window.

The left alt key gives me this weird looking menu bar, which doesnt have the "Show ribbon" option.

Yeah. Now right click a blank space on THAT bar... to see the checkbox for minimize the Ribbon Bar.

That's cool though. I don't have the Tools button on my menu bar.

I don't see a "minimize the ribbon" checkbox. There's only one option, which is "Lock the toolbars"

I guess 2004 is too different than 1909. There's also a tiny arrow at the far right of MY Menu Bar, that also opens the Ribbon Bar.

Yes, that used to be there but it suddenly disappeared :(
I have been on 2004 for a month or two now and there have been no updates recently so I don't think it's that.
