If you are able to access Control Panel,then
>power options>choose what power button does>change settings currently unavailable
and uncheck all items and click on---save changes--- button.
Updates often reset these to "recommended",which can be problematiclal.
I've not had any problems with Win10 2004 so far, I'm feeling kind of left out.

So open up 'Defragment and Optimise Drives' and have a look at when it was last run. Never run? Well analyse the C: drive, sign out, then sign back in again. Now have another look at the last run time. Oops, Defrag has developed amnesia
This may not sound like a serious bug, after all optimisation still seems to work correctly. But if you have an SSD you'll find that the automatic optimisation tries to run far too often as it cannot tell if it has ever run before. This is probably not good for the health of an SSD, so best to turn off scheduled optimisation until this bug gets fixed.
For the most part I'm not finding any other issues with 2004. I've been running it on most of my machines, two of them got 2004 through Windows Update within 15 minutes of its official release on 27th May. But I'm not going to update any machine with an SSD until Defrag gets fixed.

In my version,---1909 18363.959 Home x64---the analyse button is greyed out,which only allows optimisation.
How do you get defrag to run? I am curious,not facetious and like you,have no intention of using it on a SSD.
Do you have an SSD? If so then that is normal. Analyse will report on the fragmentation, but as you should never defrag an SSD then there's no point in analysing it so it's greyed out in the Defragment and Optimise UI. For an SSD the Optimise button will perform a Trim rather than a defrag. I have an HDD on my W10 Home machine, so my button isn't greyed out.
If you are curious though, you can still analyse an SSD for fragmentation. To do that you need to run DEFRAG C: /A from a Command Prompt (Admin).

And it happens instantly, the second I click. . .
I can get the settings back by pushing the Ctrl + Windows + Shift + b keys in sequence. . . but that also generates an error.
There are other ways to retrieve your settings, also. . .
Anyway. . . it's an odd issue.

I made the assumption you were using a SSD,which is why I couldn't figure out how you could select "analyse".
No way will I defrag my SSD.

i don't want to be polemical here.
but the update to the update (appeared this morning) is just a bust on my machine (itself no barn burner but a well balanced, quite fast system).
I meticulously maintain it and always have a backup courtesy of Macrium (which saved my butt this morning).
I used that backup to revert to the last version--which was very stable--before this morning's disaster.
The disaster was about my screens having no image at all. I have a dual screen system running off of a NVIDIA 760 or 780.
The monitors are plugged into that card by hdmi (for one) and display port (for the other). My Macbook Pro is attached to display port and hdmi ports of the monitor via mini-connector on the Mac. The monitor is a NEC P242W.
Windows has always detected these ports just fine.
Not now.
After the blue windows logo and horribly slow turning circle of dots the machine dies and the monitors go to sleep. a little more detail here:
a) same boot problem as in release one of the update: no image after SHUTDOWN and restart. (I shutdown normally but ever since I've installed Windows 10 I can restart the computer by taping the keyboard.)
b) If I hold the left shift key when I shutdown the computer really shuts and I can restart BUT
c) The restart is AWFULLY SLOW with the dotted circle starting and stopping. Well over five minutes to get the machine running.
d) same issue with RESTART
Meanwhile I am back with the previous version, which is running just fine, boots fast and finds my monitors.
Don't fret guys. 2004 won't always be the worst update ever.
Just wait for 2010. That will be the worst ever.

There was one long ago that bricked one of my hdd's so that was really the worst it never came back to life
Also bricked some other peoples too
