I found it and downloaded it. I'll install it in a VM and play with it. Does anyone ells want to play??

Maybe MS has learned their lesson. I can't imagine that more than say... 11 people, actually "bought" Windows 10.

That's a lot of unnecessary work! My desktop PC started life as Windows 8 and still runs fine under Windows 10 v1909

This is a thread than can (and possibly will) go on forever -

Microsoft's QA process only goes so far. Due to the complexities of Windows 10 they need to have a responsive, dedicated channel for outsiders to post their concerns.
Naturally, MS will need to devote more QA resources to testing, especially when a feature update like 2004 is introduced.

It's time for polishing the software and holding back on new features until W10 is a rock-solid product, IMHO.

/e I haven't been keeping up on the earlier versions of Windows 10, but is MS still following their "every other OS suxxors" plan?

Win 95 = sux
Win 95 OSR = great
Win 98 = sux
Win 98 SE = great
Win ME = sux
Win XP = great
Win Vista = sux
Win 7 = great
Win 8 = sux
Win 8.1 = sux less
Win 10 .......... ??

For me, Windows 8.1 was a sweet spot. Even when things are working well with Windows 10 1909.

IIRC, Windows 10, at least before 1903, at least on laptop drives, seem more likely to be corrupted, SFC corruption reports haunt me!

I haven't had any issue with 2004 I turn on my Lenovo desktop and open edge and here I am Lol
All works fine

Is it patch Tuesday Tomorrow Tues 14th July I guess some of the main issues will be updated
and perhaps fixed then! - is 2005 coming in the autumn?

No, the 20H2 feature update has already been named as version 2009, build 19042. It is currently with the Insiders and, as with 1903/1909, the feature update is to be done by a small Enablement Package. Barring any unforeseen problems a target release date around the end of October seems likely.

For me it's a lot of unneccessary work re-appying all tweaks and customizations along with stripping out the stuff that I don't need every build. So that's the reason that I don't rush to upgrade. It saves many hours of effort spread over many days.
