Change Boot Sequence Dell Optiplex 740

Hi I would like to know how to enter the BIOS screen, on a Dell Optiplex 740, to change the boot sequence to boot from a usb drive, I've made up a windows 10 installation bootable disk, and want it to boot to it first thanks.

It could be F9 for boot sequence. F10 for BIOS. Try ESC too.

Hi thanks for the reply, I think it's F2 to enter the BIOS, but I'm not sure what to change when in the BIOS eg where to specifically go thanks.

Once you DO get into the BIOS... you will see the option to change the boot sequence on either the main screen (easy mode) or the Boot Tab (advanced mode).

Hi at start up it says F2 = set up, and F12= boot menu, is set up different from boot menu thanks.

I've found that most of my USB 3.0 disks won't work. If you have problems, try booting with a USB 2.0 disk. That always works for me.

Hi I have tried pressing F12 key and nothing happens just Cary's on to Windows screen, I'm using a small wireless querty keyboard, that I got to control my android box, it only goes up to F10, but F10 is also F12, on the same key, hope that makes sense, on the key F10 is in white bigger and bolder, but above F12 is smaller and is blue.

Do you think the keyboard could be the problem and the F12 key is not registering, I've tried holding shift key and pressing F10, plus Ctrl, and del all different combinations, just to get the F12 key, to register, I've never needed F12 with this keyboard up untill now so it's never been a problem, and unfortunately it's the only keyboard I have, thanks.

Hi lol just figured it out its the fn key function, gota love YouTube, and answering your own problems.
