I just tested both functions in Firefox and the new Edge, worked fine. I'm using a USB Wired Microsoft Keyboard and Dell Mouse.
Here's how to enable/disable ALL the built-in Windows shortcut keys. Disabling, then enabling might fix your problem.
How to Disable the Built-In “Windows Key” Shortcuts
Remember: Registry edits need a reboot to take effect.
Control Delete deletes only one word then makes a bong error sound when held down for multiple word deletion in MS Word. I found out why this is happening but do not have a fix. You can check on any keyboard tester to see when pressing only control delete - you'll see that all three keys - the control key, the delete key and the c key will indicate they they have all been pressed.
When I check it in word's options by going to customize ribbon, advanced and click in the new shortcut key field, then press ctrl del, you see generated "ctrl" "del", "c" appearing in the field, showing that the OS is sending an undesirable "c" after the ctrl del combination This appears to be a new Windows 10 bug. I look forward to hearing others confirm they are also observing this, and perhaps someone knows how to fix it. It does appear to be coincident with a relatively recent windows update so apparently a newly introduced windows 10 bug. Thanks in advance for any help correcting.
Thank you for any assistance in advance.[/QUOTE]
This combination, Ctrl delete, to delete whole words, is working intermittently with me as well, in Word 365 (Windows 11). Still seems to be a problem all these years later.
