    Folder named {F86B0233-9A85-4589-8AAF-524CC4F8211B} in ProgramData

I was uninstalling a piece of software using Programs and Features in the control panel and when I went into ProgramData there is a empty folder called {F86B0233-9A85-4589-8AAF-524CC4F8211B} and I'm not sure what is creating this empty folder, but when I try to delete it, the folder just keeps coming back.

I'm using Windows 10 Pro version number 2004 (OS Build 19041.330)

You could attempt a process of elimination e.g.
    - perform a clean boot (Google or see tutorial if unsure)
    - delete the folder
    - see if it returns.

If not, it's presumably created by something not running after the clean install, thus you may be able to identify it.

You can also examine the properties of the folder. Note the time and date at which it's created.
E.g. on startup, on schedule at regular times...

This is a clean reinstall of Windows as I was having issues with Windows and I have deleted the folder, but it returns. The properties said it was created on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 3:10:54 am, but I didn't install any or remove any programs or changed any system settings at that time.

Your welcome and I had installed a program that caused issues then did a clean install of Windows, then stupid me installed the same program that caused issues in the first place causing me to reinstall Windows. I will do more careful reinstalling programs after a clean reinstall.

First program to install as soon as you can is a disk imaging program e.g. Macrium Reflect (free)- then start routinely using disk imaging. Can save clean installs.

When I look at my Program Data folder there is a folder (not empty) with a name of similar form.

    Others have mentioned the same:

I have an empty folder called {FA41122E-782F-662A-E6DB-2626A2062FAC} dated 06/08/2020. The owner is Administrators.

I believe it's perfectly normal, just leave it and forget about it.

Yeah I'll just leave it alone though it is empty and 0 bytes in size.
