Question about Shift & Windows key behavior

Hello,

I'm having a problem with Shift & Windows key.

Whenever I press them both, a Windows Start menu appears, which wouldn't matter, but I use an AHK-based program, where a lot of my key combinations are pretty saturated, to assigned macros.

Where for example a macro assigned to 'Shift + Win + Q', opens up the Start menu whenever I press it, and badly messes up the macro command, always requiring me to do weird workarounds and things of such nature, in order to for example 'click off' the Start menu first, before getting to the actual command, slowing it down considerably, as a result

When I made a thread about it, on the program's respective forum, a moderator/staff replied to me, that he experiences no such issue, as in 'Shift + Win', not opening the Start Menu in his case... so this leads me to wonder about, whether I'm the only one experiencing such behavior, or are other users experiencing it also?

My Windows version:
• Windows 10 Windows 8, 64-bit, Release 1903, Build 18362.778

I assume you're not able to reassign SHIFT Win key with AHK as you wish.

or perhaps use, say SHIFT ALT ...

I mean I am able to for example get, 'Shift + Win + Q' to work just fine, it's just that it always opens up the Windows Start menu, along with it, which oftentimes 'breaks' the functionality of the macro, etc.

Most of my manually accessible shortcut combinations are completely saturated, so I'm kinda forced to use some that are 'Shift + Win' also.

But yeah, just to confirm, does the pressing of 'Shift + Win' alone, always open the Start menu on all Windows 10 versions? If that is so, then I can provide the evidence to the staff of the program's forum, which could help in improving the program in future.

I've tried some of the same options within your link, that this link provides, a good while in the past:

Though seemingly, to no avail. As it seems that the options just completely disabled the Windows key outright, which is not what I'm looking for.

I'm however gonna try again and report in the near future, using your link, just to be 100% sure, of my prior findings

You could define Shift Win as null in an AHK script

which would leave you free to use
Shiift Win +
- where + is any key you like-
without inadvertently launching the Start menu.

There's no Shift+WIN mentioned there.
