Clone of a Bootable Flash Drive will not Boot

Thanks, ChippyBeer and others for your helpful comments. I'll be away from home for most of the day (risky in these Covid-19 days but I'm taking precautions) and will answer tonight or more likely tomorrow. I'm using win10, but a different operating system is needed when backing up win10, which Terabyte did with their Image for Linux app.

I'm a paid member of Macrium, and asked them if their product can provide a clone of a bootable flash drive. They said no.

Thanks for all the very helpful suggestions. I finally used ImageUSB, and it works well. One suggestion. If it is being used on a computer with a SS drive with documents, downloads, pictures, etc. saved on a standard larger hard drive, use an easy to find folder like Downloads to save the image.

Thanks for the feedback and it's good to hear that it also works with Linux bootables! ImageUSB will definitely be my goto for imaging USB bootables. I already have a separate external 2TB HD where I keep all images of all my computers, now I will image all my bootable flash drives. In the past whenever I misplaced one I would have to re-create it from scratch. Now I can just use any flash drive, write the image of my choosing and Bob's my uncle!

Unfortunately, it does not work with Linux. I understand Clonezilla does, but my knowledge of Linux is marginal.

I contacted Terabyte International to see if earlier versions of Image for Linux are still available. I don't want their current version for UEFI computers (which I assume includes legacy bios) because it is much more complex. I hope so, because my older version is so easy to use.

If I'm unlucky, I'll use Macrium Reflect in the future. My Image for Linux boot drive still works fine. I recorded it years ago using a Kingston 2GB flash drive I found in a drawer. I decided I needed a backup flash drive.

When this is finished, I'll get back to my next big project, figuring out how to boot from a flash drive using a win10 UEFI computer. So far, I resolved the problem by buying refurbished Dell T3500's that have legacy BIOS. I get a workstation type computer with two easily accessible hard drive bays for a few hundred dollars.

ImageUSB does not work with my Linux Bootable flash drive.

I looked at CloneZilla, and to use it I'll need to re-learn Linux jargon, plus get up to speed with Linux again - too much work. I would rather use that effort to improve my Macrium knowledge, and switch to Macrium for future backups. My Image for Linux flash drive works fine. I lost it temporarily, which made me realize I needed to have another flash drive available.
