    Computer Charger Damaged, Possible Fix?

Okay so this laptop belongs to my school. They havent been able to collect it yet do to Covid, but that not the point. Earlier today, while standing up from my desk, the computer fell directly on the charger while it was still plugged in. It is now bent and I cant seem to get it to work. Is there any hope to repair it? It fell about a foot and a half onto old wood floors, Im not sure if this info is relevant or not, but better safe then sorry

Unfortunately the damage most likely is in the socket which usually is soldered onto the motherboard/mainboard. I've seen those sockets damage when the computer has been pushed back against something solid. Some sockets can be replaced but would need the make/manufacturer, model name and exact model number to enable a search of the maker's site. Notebooks/Laptops require a lot of disassembly to get to things. If the socket proves to be okay the AC power adapter can be obtained, usually quickest is a Universal adapter that has changeable tips for many models from something local like Wal*Mart or BestBuy, etc., plus online.

You didn't say if it even boots......how/what have you seen to determine that the charger is bent and damaged?
