Boot hangs with usb HDD connected

    Use a MiniTool Partition Magic to check all partitions on that drive. Set any found Active to Inactive. You might have to use the portable version of Partition Magic since Defender sometimes rejects the installer version.

    No no. There is an internal 3G drive (F:) which holds data. There is an external 3G USB drive (J:) which is used for backup

    Thanks. There is only one partition on this drive, and partition magic confirmed that it is not active
