    Ghostly sleep mode


    Fresh install

    windows 10 verion 1909

    When i left my house today I left the computer in sleep mode , when I came back the computer looked like it had been running for hours Please tell me some settings to prevent this . No one else that could have turned on the computer

    Hi, post #9 here shows how you can review wake events
    Problems with sleep mode - Windows 10 Support

    Various things can wake a PC from scheduled tasks - see bottom option-
    Ghostly sleep mode-2.png
    to hardware related events, Windows updates and more.

    Here you can see 3 particular scheduled tasks which might do so:

    1) For all steps / tests please post images into the thread:

    2) Update the specs in the "My Computer" section:
    System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
    In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
    After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

    Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, USB wireless network card, etc.)


    3) Choose one of the temperature monitoring software applications: Speecy, HW monitor, Speed fan:

    Download Speccy | Find your computer specs, free!

    HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID: HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID
    HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID
    SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
    SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

    4) Run HD Sentinel: (free or trial edition)
    Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring
    Hard Disk Sentinel - HDD health and temperature monitoring
    For each drive post images of these tabs into the thread:
    Overview tab
    Temperature
    SMART
    Disk performance
