since updating to windows 10 vr 2004, my laptop will not sleep ??

    yes they are disable there but that dumb thing still does it, seems it overrides whatever is set in there.

    1. Installing Microsoft's own PsTools.
    2. Opening Command Prompt as and administrator and cd into your local PsTools folder.
    3. Executing:
      Code:
      psexec.exe -i -s %windir%\system32\mmc.exe /s taskschd.msc
    4. Going to the UpdateOrchestrator and disabling the Schedule Wake To Work task, as previously mentioned.

    @FreeBooter Yay i got that disabled in there so will find out here soon if that worked , Wow that's a awesome tool there. So what is that wired account password stuff anyway, what a nifty way around that dumb stuff.

    let me restate i was saying that worked, i got the task disabled for waking, so will see if it works, then i was asking what is that wired account that is in there. and what a nifty way to bypass that stuff a cool set of tools.

    Only reason you were able to disable the task is because you open the Task Scheduler with System account privileges.

    oh that awesome :) i like them tools they come in handy, i still think MS should let us do it anyway i mean what a wired thing a account i never made with a password and all strange indeed. thanks for the help and have a awesome night i'm off to bed.
