    Since we spoke last week I did a bit of research on here and I dont like the sound of the failure to optimise drives (I have a 128 GB SSD for the System and a seperate Terabyte standard hard disc for everything else). Also there seems to be another issue with DISM reporting incorrectly. Also, Ive checked in Device Manager and it says under Bluetooth- Qualcomm QCA9565 Bluetooth 4.0...so am i correct in thinking that the reported Realtek Bluetooth driver issue definitely doesnt apply to my PC?

    My machines that were offered and took the update to 2004 have HDDs, none of mine with SSDs have been offered it yet. Defrag works perfectly normally on my HDDs, the only issue is that it can't remember when it was last run for more than a few minutes. It always says 'never run' after a while.

    DISM reports no corruption.

    No, I don't think you should be blocked for Bluetooth issues.

    Only do a feature update straight away if you like being a beta tester for MS. I usually wait at least 2 months for MS to sort out their bug prone feature updates.
    @Steve C

    Steve I'm in a subset of the Release preview members, and I get the Update offered around 2 weeks before the Main RP issue date,

    I've only had one issue in 2004 in the couple of months I've been using it, this was after the second update to the original release, where my Backup routine (Aomei Backupper Pro), ran wild for a day or two afterwards, ( until I noticed that I had multiple backups running at the same time, which never happens with my setup ), a simple rebuild of the routine sorted it,

    I have multiple SSDs on the system so the issue I've heard about where systems with SSDs are not being offered, Does not seem to be an issue here.

    The update does not appear to be a major one which is to be expected as the OS is now at an age in production lifetime when previous Windows versions would be approaching extended Support Period (five years full support followed by five years of Bug fix and driver updates only)

    I can't see any reason for anyone to go ahead with the update unless it is specifically offered to you, which should stop a lot of cries of "Windows Update 2004 Broke my system"

    I have only been offered the 2004 update on some (but not all) my HDD systems. None of my SSD systems have been offered it yet.

    After five years development I'd expect Windows 10 to be relatively mature. I see a host of minor improvements, but no major changes.

    FWIW, @Bree, the *only* system I had 2004 offered to me through WU was on my production PC, with Z170 mobo and a Samsung 950 NVMe SSD for the boot drive. Alas, I no longer have any systems that don't boot from an SSD (or should I say: that do boot from an HDD). I've been able to force upgrade those other systems using either the Update Assistant or by creating an ISO using MCT, then installing from setup.exe while still running 1909.

    I hate to rain on the parade, but I also have a Qualcomm QCA9565 Bluetooth 4.0, and I cannot connect more than 1 Bluetooth device at a time after the 2004 Update - I am going to begin testing some things right now and will report back.

    Great news! All I had to do was update my Qualcomm Bluetooth driver from the support.dell.com website for my model, and I can now connect multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously again.
