    Just the top level ones [not all their own subfolders as they will get taken care of]

    Just run
    Code:
    Dir C:\Users\Owner\Documents /b
Dir E:\Documents /b
Dir E:\DocumentsOld /b
    and paste the results. Make sure you paste the Dir C:\Users\Owner\Documents /b etc line so I know which set belogs to which major folder.

    I'm trying to help Bob RoboCopy his Documents folder to his E:\ drive so he can achieve a separation of OS-applications from Data.

    I have given up on just RoboCopying his Documents because he is getting complex responses that I think should not happen [I think using the /XA:SH switch should have avoided any junction problems].

    I am now suggesting that he RoboCopies from one level down, e.g. C:\Users\Owner\Documents\SubFolder1, to sidestep the problem.

    Here are the first two. When in put in the command for E:\DocumentsOld (the one with the Documents icon) Ige e not found.

    Bob,

    Run the batch file I'm attaching to my next post and it will robocopy everything from each subfolder of
    C:\Users\Owner\Documents
    and
    E:\My documents
    into
    E:\Documents

    You will be able to read through the batch file in Notepad if you want. It's just a whole string of
    RoboCopy "C:\Users\Owner\Documents\A2A" "E:\Documents\A2A" /E /DCOPYAT /XA:SH
    commands

    I've written it and I'm working through checking it before posting.

    Give me 5 mins.

Hi all, I've messed up, and I hope that someone can help me out. I've set up Windows Live Mail on a new system (Windows 10), then downloaded a lot of messages from the server to the default folder that WLM sets up on installation.
