Hi guys, i registered just to post my findings on this issue. The one thing i noticed is that i had changed my option for "Change the size of text, apps, and other items:" to be larger than normal cause i liked bigger icons, so i had it around 125% on my 1080p monitor.
Yup and I registered to say thanks because this was me, 1440p 125% "god-****it why are half of them on the 1080p monitor"

long story short I'm salty everything is smaller now and the icons have ceased their tomfoolery

    Cheers!

If you guys look at Post #194, By opening another desktop (note I never use the other "desktop" but it says open all the time, even after pwr off/on), and since I've done that (a year ago), I haven't had the scrambling of the desktop Icons. Period. Its really weird in that My HP laptop (Home Version) has never had this problem. It's had every version of Win 10 since inception. A year ago I built a new Desktop (Win 10 Pro), and withing 5 hrs of using it, W10 re-arranged my DT Icons. Don't know if you every tried it and I don't know if it works across many systems, but it works on mine.

I have to stand corrected. The workaround that I have documented earlier in this thread, failed yesterday afternoon (after over 2 years). I was experiencing a failure on a network drive. While exiting the router supplied software, all of my icons were scrambled and move to the left. Thank goodness for "DesktopOK".
