Go to Control Panel -> Clock & Region -> Change Date, Time or number formats -> Additional Settings
Unless you have a compelling reason not to do this, hit:
    Reset

and then see how it behaves

That works if I do it on a Monday but as soon as the next Monday rolls around the date disappears again.
    Thanks for the reply.

Windows takes its basic date and time from the BIOS, might boot into it on a Monday when the problem recurs and check it. If there is a problem it frequently can be traced to the CMOS battery [usually a replaceable CR-2032, not rechargeable] especially after the computer is a few years old in which case changing it would be my first diagnostic.

    fb10,

Just to gather further information about the problem -

1 I wonder if the problem occurs on "Monday" or on "First day of week".
    Settings,
    Time & language,
    Date & time,
    Date, time & regional formatting,
    Change data formats,
    First day of week.
Change this to something else to see if the problem moves with it.

2 Personally, I would also create a new local user and see if the problem happens there.

3 Find out if the problem happens in Safe mode? I really cannot think of any logic behind this suggestion.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

For the purpose of testing, have you tried advancing the current date/time to Sunday, 11:58 PM? This way you can test multiple solutions and obtain near instant results.

Just a thought, if you're not already practicing this.

Please complete your 'My Computer' info and include your Windows version. This will assist everyone trying to help fix this or other problems. Thanks,

Thanks to all who replied. I have completed all of your suggestions without success. I will learn to live with this every Monday hoping it will go away with the next update.

You're most welcome and thanks for updating 'My Computer'. If this Monday thing starts to bug again and you feel like hammering at it for a while, some of us can be quite tenacious and would be happy to join your efforts. Cheers

    Hi,

    Mine is back again!

I had this problem before version 20H2 and after update to 20H2 it went away! Since one month ago it starts its job again!
I didn't install any new app (software) and didn't change monitor or graphic card (current: AMD R Series and FHD or 1920 res, 16:9 wide).

It just disappears on Mondays(!!!) I don't know why it has a problem with Monday(!). I had change date format by shifting the day of the week by month (MMM, dd ddd) but nothing. After reset it was normal just for seconds(!!!). Any help?
