    Problem booting windows 10 PRO

I am pulling my hair out......all’s did was add some extra RAM sticks to my PC, dislodged some SATA cables and now I am in trouble....the boot SSD kept going missing, then it said no OS found, tried a bootable live Linux and using the boot repair option I was back in windows, hooray I shouted, but instead of doing a MR image backup, I shut it down and since then it hasn’t booted back up. I always always do MR image backups, but a few days ago had a clean up of old backups and like an idiot deleted all the full backups and left only the incremental ones, no good at all. Tried windows repair tool, and various Dos commands, but no joy, couldn’t do system restore as need to be within windows, apparently.....running out of ideas......if I use Kyhi's recovery drive, is this a way of doing a in place repair upgrade ?
need some ideas please ? I know I can clean install and use windows old, bu do t want to start again really.....

Try using the Media Creation Tool and make a bootable USB and do a repair install. Or by saying "Tried windows repair tool" you've already done that?

I would disconnect all SATA cables again and then only reconnect Boot drive. Also remove and reseat power cable to boot drive.

Boot to BIOS, ensure time and date and correct. Then check boot order and that it can see you boot drive.

    Save changes and exit.

    Try booting to Windows.

Are you referring to Kyhi's recovery drive ? Because MS media creation tool doesn’t have that option, only from within windows, or so I believe

message now is No operating system found, which is curious because scanOS found it ok

Yes you are right my bad. But you can do a Startup Repair and a System Restore from the USB.

Try disconnecting the SATA cables to all but one of the six HDD's and boot from each one in turn, which should check whether the "dislodged" cables were reconnected correctly.
From which position were they "dislodged".motherboard or drive and how was that accomplished because SATA cables require a deliberate pull to disconnect them.
If none of the drives operates normally, when used singly, then perhaps a clean install with only ONE drive connected might be the best option.

Sorry but it won’t let me do a system restore, says need to launch from within windows ( very handy )

also startup repair, will result in losses I think, looking more for a repair upgrade, where only the windows files are restored.....

UPDATE unbelievably while trying to boot from a W10 usb pen, my PC booted up into windows, cannot see how that happened, been getting errors all day, disk read error no OS found....etc....so doing 3 MR full backups and if not too late will try a windows repair upgrade to fix the windows install files.....

    will update soon thanks

dislodged from the motherboard, they seem to just fall off just by looking at them ( the red ones ) the others have clips and are secure......not sure if I bought clip cables all round if I could attach to the motherboard better, or is it a motherboard ‘thing’ ?
did disconnect reconnect all but made no difference.....But events have taken a turn, see my last post thanks

In addition to backing up,.download HDTune in my signature, not Pro. go to the Error Scan tab. Do a Full Error Scan, not quick. This will take some time. If all the squares are Green, the drive is healthy. If any of the squares are RED then there is no need to finish the test. This signifies Bad Sectors, and the drive should be replaced.

Thanks, will do......did 2 FULL MR image backups, now am doing an in place W10 Upgrade repair, hopefully I have been very lucky this time, in future will keep 1 full MR reflect image on a spare portable HDD, even if updated once a month, better than starting again...

I setup MR image backup as a schedule, works very well ( till I physically delete the wrong backups )
