hiberfil.sys keeps updated while hibernation is disabled

    Hello to all,
    I have a Windows 10 (Version 1909 - OS build 18363.778) running on a Lenovo laptop (32GB RAM, 1TB SSD).
Right out of the box hibernation was disabled and it is still so as strongly recommended for SSD-based computers.
Today I by chance saw that the file hiberfil.sys (about 13GB) keeps being accessed and modified.
Could anyone explain why is it taking place and if it would be safe to simple delete this file (without being automatically regenerated by the OS)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Fernando.

    Fernando......

May be that sleep and or fast startup is disabled, but hibernation not explicitly. To ensure that hibernation, and by association the hiberfil.sys is no longer active, run this command at an Admin command prompt. It will safely delete the hiberfil.sys and disable Fast Startup. Best for SSD systems.

    powercfg -h off

    Command failed...

    f14tomcat,
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and the command failed with the message:
Unable to perform operation. An unexpected error (0x65b) has occurred: Function failed during execution.

Found the issue: I should had run the command under Admin privileges. Once this was done, the command succeeded (of course) and the file was removed.
