Did I delete needed files on a usb drive?

I needed a usb drive on which to burn a program to use on another PC. When I found a drive to use, it had several outdated files so I deleted them. It also had 2 folders that were named the same as the brand of drive, Cruze. I left those on the drive.

I burned the program and when I checked what it contained, there were all new files but the 2 files named "Cruze-something" were missing. Are those needed to be able to use the drive? Is there a way that I can get these needed/unneeded files online?

The drive is a Cruzer from Sandisk.

If you wish to use the drive as a generic USB drive, you don't need any software.

If you wish to write protect or encrypt it, you'll have to download something.

USB Flash drive makers put a few files on the drive so you feel like you are buying something other then a blank drive. These files are not necessary for the drive to work.I usually format all new USB flash drives and delete any bloatware software.
BTW, if the Program you are copying is an installed program on a computer, you cannot transfer it to another computer. That program would have to be installed on the other computer. If you have the installer for the program you can transfer that to the USB Flash drive.
