"Emoji" menu instead of spellcheck comes up when spell checking??-emoji-thing-instead-spell-checker.png

Hi, This is fairly recent and maybe the worst anti productivity "feature" have ever encountered. So I have spent 2 hours so far trying to solve it. It appears to be a feature that people hate yet have not found a way to turn it off. The screen cap shows that when try to correct a misspelled word in Outlook, or websites like this, maybe everywhere an "emoji" menu comes up. Maybe 1 week this has been going on. It is about 75% emoji menu and 25% correct list of spelling comes up when I click on misspelled word.

I do not use emojis at all. How can I kill this terrible waste of time? Can not find the link now, but a Chrome support link had like 50 irate people vote to get rid of it and Chrome shut down discussion on it, and indicated it is mandatory.

Help please.

Ah opened outlook in IE and sure enough speller works right in IE, so it is Chrome. Any way to fix Chrome on this?

chrome://flags/#enable-emoji-context-menu Is supposed to have line it for emoji option, but there is no emoji option on that very long list.

I found that link. Google has not allowed anyone to talk about this anymore, shut down discussion, and everyone that commented hated this terrible "feature". remove emoji from context menu - Google Chrome Community

Found another link Again people hate it, 42 votes, and again Google seems to be a dictator on this and will not let people comment and has no solution. How weird.

Being this is the worst productivity killer have ever found on using a PC , hope someone has a solution. IE does not have the problem, but it uses more memory and that causes problems as normally have 5-10 apps/web windows up at same time.

OK IE solved it but slow and memory intensive. So since Chrome is the problem looked for another browser. Found Brave. Tried it and it's like 3 times faster that Chrome, blocks tracking and uses less memory and this stupid emoji menu thing doesn't happen in Brave.

So this stupid Chrome thing maybe in long run a blessing as found Brave as a result and never even heard of it before today.

Cheers

Well on most web pages emoji think went away but on Outlook, drats it is still there even in Brave. Any ideas on getting rid of it?

At least on Brave if I left click instead of right click the spell suggestion in Outlook comes up, right click is emoji. For many years right click did spell. So again think have solution.
