no recycle bin
I went to Settings\Personalization\Themes\Desktop icon settings\
And check Recycle bin and click ok. No icons show up.
Same, if I right click the mouse button and select send shortcut to desktop.

Hello Don,
As a test, right click on your desktop, and click/tap on Refresh to see if the icon appears afterwards.
Do you have other icons on the desktop? If not, maybe you inadvertently hid your desktop icons. Right click any where on desk top, click view, then make sure 'show all icons' is checked. Just a thought.
Brink,refresh no icons
RichardC, I also have my pc checked it doesn't show either.
Deselect then select again those icon settings and restart the PC. Do you have the same problem in all accounts? If not, then you might have a corrupt user profile. If so, then perhaps try a repair install or recover from a backup of the last working configuration.
Thank you
I did every thing you suggested and restarted. Still no desktop icons.
As you can see by the Screenshot, if I click open in any executable, I can see plenty desktop icon shortcuts. No icons on desktop.
I unchecked all the icons; restarted computer; checked icons. No icons on desktop.
I restarted (keeping the icons checked). Still no desktop icons.

Don,
As a test, right click on your desktop, click on View, and toggle Auto arrange icons off and on to realign the icons in case they may just be offscreen somehow.
If not, then temporarily change your desktop background or theme to something else to see if that may toggle the desktop background to show along with the icons.
Go to the Notification icon on the far right of the Taskbar click it and turn off Tablet Mode.
Here's something you can try. Open file explorer and click on this pc. Mine, as you can see, is Richard's PC. Go to the up arrow to the left of the address bar and click it. This will bring up all items that are on your desktop, see second image. If nothing is there, then it's above my pay grade. If they show there and not on your desktop, check again by right clicking on your desktop, select view and make sure show all icons is checked. See image three.
