Hi as the title says I have forgotten my bios password. I have been trying to reset it for several days but without effects.
I have tried bios-pw.org but it gives me the wrong pass when I put my unlock code. I wrote to Acer support they want $100 for reset....Is there any tool/option to reset it for free? I got an Acer Aspire A515-51G Windows 10.

Unfortunately on the Acer forum, they will ask you to write to support where you have to pay $100 or delete your thread if you talk about ways to reset the bios. That's why I'm looking for help here, hope I'll find it here.

Even if we knew of a way, it is against Forum Rules to offer PW hacks or work arounds.
Laptops have the Bios Password burned onto the motherboard. You cannot reset the Bios by removing the CMOS Battery. Other then the dark web, the only way to reset the Bios password is thru the manufacturer.
As the Acer Aspire A515-51G is a laptop, there is probably no simple way to clear the BIOS password. On a desktop, I believe that clearing the CMOS resets the password.
It's an anti-theft consideration.
If you find purported tools for that online, be sure to watch out for malware.
Does flashing the bios make any difference?
One must boot the computer to update Bios, to boot the computer, you need the Bios Password.

NO. there is usually a separate eprom chip that is accessed for security (ie "Password chip")
Most OEM's use a Bios Security "Backdoor/Unlock" code
You must compare the code length format between the OEM pop-up security override window and the OEM unlock code - as there was usually an extra space needed when entering the OEM Unlock code
