Windows Notepad help - ungroup in taskbar and set custom icon

    I use Windows 10 Pro.

I use Windows Notepad a lot, and Windows groups multiple open instances of notepad in the taskbar, resulting in me having to click twice to get to the file I want.

I used a program called "7+ Taskbar Tweaker" to ungroup things in the taskbar. This doesn't work because I don't want to ungroup everything (folders, browsers), I only want to ungroup Notepad. And it also creates a problem to where all my Notepads have the same icon in the taskbar, so it's hard to differentiate between them.

So I'm not sure how to solve it.

The solution would be a method to ungroup only Windows Notepad in the taskbar. Perhaps with a registry edit, or maybe by somehow installing multiple instances of Notepad on the same computer (that way windows will consider them as separate programs and won't group them together in the taskbar).

And then I would need a method to set a custom taskbar icon for each of the Notepad files that I want to have a custom taskbar icon.

Any ideas on how I can get this done?

    Thanks

How about using a tabbed replacement for Notepad? Each tab shows the name. E.g.

No. Downloading that is 10MB. I knew the moment I started the download that it wouldn't work for me.

It's too clunky, too slow, too messy, I need a simple solution.

I failed to do it how I wanted.

I settled for using this program called notepad2 together with notepad.

An honorable mention goes to Tad Notepad, but I had to give up on it because I couldn't select words by double clicking on the same line but not on the actual word.
