    Avalanche of contextual popups

    Hello all,
I am inundated with contextual pops ups to the point pc practically useless. I hv tried everything found surfing incl resets (factory & keeping files) to eliminate them but to no avail. Malwarebytes shows pc to be malware/virus free. Any suggestions most welcome. Thks.

What is the build of your Window 10? ...... Win 10 home 1909 18363.815 or earlier?
Can you give us a screen shot of one (or more) of the pop-ups?

Can you give us more details? What pop-ups?

I highly suspect this to be browser pop-ups, in which case you should try looking at the notifications and determine where they are coming from.

Does this happen when you disconnect your PC / Laptop from the Internet (turn on Airplane Mode) ?

If you are using Google Chrome, try going to Settings (the triple dots, under X, on the top right corner) > Privacy and Security > Site Settings

There you can modify settings for
    - Notifications
    - Pop-ups and redirects
    - Ads.

(If you use Google Chrome), it could be a malicious extension that refuses to be removed, in which case,
    1. Run Command Prompt (as Administrator)
    2. Enter the following lines in order
    -
    rd /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicyUsers”
    -
    rd /S /Q “%WinDir%\System32\GroupPolicy”
    -
    gpupdate /force
    3. Proceed to remove the malicious extension.

In the unlikely event windows is causing this,
Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions > Turn off "Get notifications from apps and other senders"

If none of the above solved the problem, do give details (screenshots, etc.) of the problem.
