Unable to change location of Documents or Pictures folder

When I bring up the Document Properties window, and click on the Location tab, the window id missing the 3 buttons (Restore Default, Move, Find Target) that everyone else seems to have. And the path field is not editable.

    Any ideas?

Hi, please note that using the Location tab is fine if you are 100% accurate. The tutorials carry a warning saying you need to create a disk image of Windows before using it. It is easy to make horrible mistakes using it with the best of intentions. You can see some of the threads on this.

This is a rather old article on the problem of the missing arguments (not Win 10 based) but it might point you in the right direction. There doesn't seem any reference to these missing in a tenforums thread after a couple of quick searches.

My preference- and that of a few others but not all by any means- is to create my OWN folders and if I wish add them to the appropriate library (tutorial available). That avoids any risk, leaves the originals alone, and means installed programs which create folders in Documents, Music, Videos etc can create them there, and I have MY documents in MY folders not mixed up with them.
