How to drag and drop programs to desktop

    I want to thank you and all the others for their kind help in this matter. You have given me the answer. This is what we need to tell all 7 users. Under 7 you merely RC copy and move to your desktop and LC paste. Not so with 10. Here you have to RC copy and on the desktop LC and paste shortcut. It works, thanks to all!

    You need to install VMWare tools, it fixes the issue.

With Win7, I could right click on the taskbar icon, pick up a previous file and drag it into my gmail to attach. Not an option with Win10- any way to do this with a work-around?? thanks Jeff
I can't drag and drop text/images from IE 11 to WordPad or other programs. When I try to do this the cursor changes to a black or red circle with a line in it. Drag and dropping in file explorer still works.
