    some Thumbnail Previews not showing in Windows File Explorer,some do.


    Hello,as in the title:
    In one specific folder some thumbnail previews show up,some do not.
    They have the same extension.

    -Cleared the icon db.
    -changed folder options
    Windows 10.
      My Computer

    Hello Whoppi, and welcome to Ten Forums.

    Do these .jpg images show when opened in the "Photos" app? If not, then there may be something wrong with the image file itself.

    For now, you might see if clearing and resetting the thumbnail cache using an option in the tutorial below may help.

    You stated you cleared the icon db, but this is not the same as the thumbnail cache.

    Do these .jpg images show when opened in the "Photos" app? If not, then there may be something wrong with the image file itself.

    Just to verify, did you already reset and clear the thumbnail cache?

    Since this is only happening in this one folder, does this folder have a lot of large size image and/or video files in it? If so, this could overload the thumbnail cache and sometimes causing it to not always show the thumbnail preview for image files like this.

    There are about 50 images in this folder.

    I'd only consider that a few and not a lot, but it really matters if the file sizes are large or not (ex: 2GB vs 1MB). The larger the file sizes for too many files, the more it could potentially bog down and overload the thumbnail cache.
