This is so funny. People come in here once in a while and ask us shopper types (Hiya!) to find them something at an impossible price. The last two times this happened it was like $300 and most of us were like "You really mean about $500."

So the other day I found a brand new Asus Imaginebook for $300!!! WOW. And I've been dying to recommend it. But then you dropped the price to $150ish.

The shortcomings here are the screen (for photo editing you might want a better screen) and the ram (which is stuck at 4GBs, no upgrades).

Anyway, if you can eat peanut butter for a few weeks instead of food -- YouTube

Don't know why you want to buy a Dell or HP but I bought a Lenovo T54 something about 3 years ago from Ebay. Did some upgrading and it's still working today, gave it to my granddaughter for school. I paid about $200 or around that and did not have any problems from it at all. I did, however, buy a warranty with it, offered by Squaretrade, can't remember how much it cost but at least I had some kind of backup should something happen. Granted, you have you be a little wary but they are there. Some may say don't go to Ebay but I've bought lots of things from there and had no problems from anything I've bought. Just a thought.
