Explorer view grouping setting keeps reverting !?

Is this yet another windows 10 'feature' ?

I hate the group view feature in explorer so keep setting it to 'none', yet quite often I find when booting it's back again. Ring any bells ?

    Thanks in advance..

Mine have been staying set but the only view that doesn't is the Save as panel, no View tab on it to make the change.

Is this Downloads? The folder now has its own FolderType (i.e. view template). Try the follwing:
    1. Open Explorer to the Downloads folder, turn off grouping & set all other view options to your liking.
    2. From the View tab, select Folder Options, then execute Apply to Folders from the View tab in the Folder Options dialog:

    3. Then, to clear any saved dialog views that might be grouped, copy & paste the following PowerShell code into a PowerShell console window & execute:

    Code:
    $Bags = 'HKCU:\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags'
    $DLID = '{885A186E-A440-4ADA-812B-DB871B942259}'
    (Get-ChildItem $bags -recurse | ? PSChildName -like $DLID ) | Remove-Item
    gps explorer | spps

Will try that but can you explain what that PowerShell code does ?

It's deletes any existing saved views fthat use the Downloads FolderType. Apply to Folders alone doesn't update dialog views.

For me I change the Downloads folder to list view, then I change grouping to none and sorting to sorting to none.
Then I go to View > Options > View > Apply to All folders and then it's saved and never changes the view.

Berton, maybe I'm suffering from a miss understanding about this ?

Can't you use the context menu to get a View tab ?
