    Can't boot my friends' PC

    ^ I know she has this version of Win10.

    Booted up normal this morning, no problems. Afternoon weather caused lights to flicker but no blackout. Around that time she thought her PC was just 'asleep', tried to wake it, nothing. Noticed the power light was off. I tried power button, nothing. Unplugged, re-plugged, power light came on for 5 seconds, back off again. Tried this several times w/ same result. Hi its possible the power supply got damaged or other components when the power flickered. I see not a standard power supply in that machine.

    You mean the power cable? It's fine, no animals around to chew on it like a toy.
    Fuse? You mean did we blow a fuse? No.
    Power supply?...I don't understand that.

    Oh, you mean the power component in the PC...If I were a regular on this forum like the gang here I would've opened it up and determined what was wrong. But I'm not as gifted as you guys. Thus...here I am.

    This computer (as well as others I've previously owned) never had any problems coming back on after full power outages, including some from nearby lightning strikes. This was just a little light flickering. No biggie.

    power light came on for 5 seconds
    If there was no beep signal then it means the computer was not even reaching POST [Power On Self Test].

    There is some info in
    Computer Does not Turn on or go Into Windows Dell UK
    Understanding Beep Codes on a Dell Desktop PC Dell UK
    How to Troubleshoot a No POST Issue on a Dell Notebook PC Dell UK
    {I don't know how you redirect from the Dell UK webpage to your own one but the facts should be the same anyway.}

    You might also find it worthwhile searching / posting in the Dell user forums
