    Windows 10 random shutdown

Hi, yesterday i completelly reinstalled windows 10 on my formatted SSD. However, since then, i am experiencing random immediate shutdowns, which have no warnings. Sometimes it will shut down after five minutes, sometimes after one hour. At first i thought maybe the PSU is failing, but i have ubuntu installed on HDD and there was no problem even when playing games for a long periods of time. So i guess overheating is also no problem. I have checked temperatures and it is ok.

The only thing i changed before Windows 10 reinstallation was converting SSD from MBR to GPT, so i could install Windows 10 as UEFI.

Could that be the problem? My motherboard is gigabyte 970-ds3p.

P.S. My ubuntu version is Legacy.

    @Maros1515 -

    Welcome to Windows Ten Forums!

Have you checked the internal CPU (and GPU) temperatures inside the case, to ensure that they are not going too high and tripping the built in Thernmistor built into the CPU?

    Try this -

Core Temp 1.15.1 Download - TechSpot

    and...

HWiNFO - Free System Information, Monitoring and Diagnostics

    Have you been overclocking?

    Post back with the readings.

    Thanks.

While I agree with Compumind about heat I find it strange that after a clean install heat has become an issue.

I would also be looking at drivers.

Are any showing an error in Device Manager?

Is your BIOS up to date?

On a clean install Windows will install best fit drivers, I might also check what drivers are available at Gigabyte and install those. Check current version numbers in device manager so you know the install has actually taken place.

Have you checked SSD for errors? (Chkdsk) Is SMART data reporting anything? I used Crystal Disk Info, standard version.
