Hi, Bill C. here. First post to the forum. From N. Cal. 5+ acres in the Sierra foothills. Retired Firefighter. Been a computer guy since the Apple IIe came out. Went the PC route when the Apple Computers became real expensive to upgrade. I've been using Windows since it first came out. All this background just shows I am older that dirt. (74) Not an expert but I have done all the upgrades...installed hard drives, video cards, memory, etc. So that where I am coming from. Definitely not a software expert ...
Welcome to TenForums, Bill. Nope, you ain't older'n dirt, I am! Now, saying that, there are those who'd say they're older'n me, but, well . . . I've been building my own rigs since the early 1990s. Stopped building about two or three years ago, but I have one I may "rebuild", since most of it's there; just need a new case, really.

    Cosa dire di me?

Ummmm, sorry, but I don't understand . . . Welcome to TenForums anyway, Mapu.

Hello Folks, I am dickthor80, a retired IBM mainframe programmer 84 years old retired for the past 20 years and living in southwest Virginia, USA in the Appalachian mountains near the tiny town of Meadows of Dan near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Life is a blissful retirement cutting and splitting and stacking, then finally burning fire wood for heat, and using my laptop mostly for searching for answers to questions on the internet or doing emails with friends and family. I also have an iPhone that seldom rings, and an iPad I mostly use for a daily calendar and diary, and a few spreadsheets and games like WordScape and FreeCell.

Welcome dickthor80, Welcome to the Forum. I’m just up the road in Fairfax County, VA. You’re in a beautiful part of the state. My wife and I travel to Front Royal/Skyline Drive area nearly every week except during Winter. We’ve only been down in your neck of the woods a handful of times but it sure is beautiful.
