Hey Everyone! Happy 4th of July! I'm new, although I've benefited from this forum in the past by reading results to searches.
I'm only able to write this because it's a holiday I and can't work.
I never have enough time, really, to learn all the ins& outs of Win10, so this forum is really helpful!
Glad you joined, Overwhelmed. Quite often Tenforums pops up at or near the top of searches, so it's an excellent resource. Hope you can find time to look around here some more.

    Thank You

    Hi all,

I just register to thank a member (Swec) who posted exactly the same problem I had and managed to find a solution that proved helpful to me.

I use Windows 10 for work and a power user of Outlook both on Mac and PC.

    Thanks for this forum.

I’m usually called a “Software Quality Test Analyst” or some derivative of this. And recently, a big shift in my industry has been leaning-heavily toward the the title “software test engineer” which is the equivalent of a software tester who can also code software. A software tester is a person who writes test scripts, or the steps-of-instructions that test a planned user scenario, or recreate a software bug - so that a developer, or manager, or otherwise a “stakeholder” of some kind can know the progress of the developed software solution - basically a software test analyst communicates to someone that a process “works-as-designed-and-expected”, or “doesn’t” and writes the steps to reproduce and expose a software development defect. But a software test engineer can write automated tests that also present the developed software with “data scenarios” to test real-world examples and can exploit software defects for the “unexpected” data-entry from a user, and hacks. It’s pretty cool if you are a tech geek, and it has huge job-growth potential. Many people can write a software solution, but breakin/testing the solution is really important for security and posterity. The most important thing I learned as a software tester is that being accurate is far more important than being right.

Develop what has been designed, and Test what has been developed.

I have Goals: More tech money and tech security.

I have a Programming-project, am working on something specific, and need help, and want input, and would appreciate any colab opportunities: I think that drones are going to play a big, big role in the future of safe, efficient, damage-free, and fast "hard-product" delivery, and "personal security." I am specifically interested in the personal security role of future drones.
I once read a long time ago (read "before cellphones," people) that Bill Gates (that Microsoft guy, something famous), had a lapel pin that he would wear in his mega-house and it was designed to beacon a signal to the "brain" of the house, and any phone call that Bill Gates HAD to receive would be sent to ring a phone in whatever room Bill Gates occupied; a lapel pin, a tiny little radio signal.

I want a personal drone to follow me in my car flying above me as "eyes" with cameras and map sensors, real-time road condition (and construction closure/detour) updates. And it could dock-and-lock on the roof of my car when it needed battery juice or I was parking for an extended period of time. I want to be able to choose to have the drone follow me when I go running or biking and I want to be able to set the distance or program an algorithm to vary its data collection and sensory input. It could be my Tiktok drone-and-dock. Did I just give away the farm ..?!?..

Help me with it, starting today, I'm using a college Python class as a place to learn how algorithms work in logic problems, and learning how to code well, and building good programming habits, and developing problem solving skill.
I could really use some guidance, because, well - I'm a tester and I'm good at "quality", I'm not a designer, coder, or engineer. And I know that a lot of what I am going to need is obtained by collecting and reflecting with good team members and electing good leaders.

    Hi All,

It's been over 20 years since my last desktop build and upgrading from Win98 to 10. I'll definitely be using all the resources here.

Welcome MST3kCaptions! Loved that show when we could get it around here. Nothing like a really "bad" good "B" movie to rip apart!

Lots of really good and smart people here, I'm sure you get help with your 10 install!
