Hi VHP7980. Welcome to TenForums @VHP7980

    Welcome.

Could you please start a new thread in the General section and ask your question.

Could you also explain what you mean by getting all these devices into one MSN account. More what are you trying to accomplish, a shared Onedrive, a common experience on other browsers, etc.

    Great to have you onboard.

Good Day, I answer to most names but here just VHP7080 will do. I'm fast approaching 70 years (August) and I am getting a wee bit forgetful. That's why I'm here, hoping someone can help me. I first started "Computing" when Mr. Sinclair put his first PC on the market.
That's the boring bit out of the way, now for the really boring bit.

Can you tell me how to put my 2 Desktops and 2 Laptops into 1 MSN account please?
I haven't been able to get any step by step information.
    Thanks VHP7080
Welcome to TenForums, VHP. I'm not that advanced, although I've been testing Microsoft product since 1985! Just follow Caledon Ken's advice and you should do fine.

    Newbe

Hi I am new to TenForums but have followed the threads and tutorials extensively and gleaned a lot of knowledge to which I am very thankful. As I now have a lot of time being retired i have been furthering my knowledge of computing (would have thought 20 years in I.T. the enthusiasm would have worn off.

Trying to get head around the sneaky things that MS have applied to 2004 build such as netplwiz no longer allows bypassing logon

    Welcome to Ten Forums David.

No, it doesn't wear off when you retire. I always thought throughout my time in IT support that it was nice to be paid for doing something that I would be doing anyway. Now I do it for fun here on Ten Forums.

I prefer to bypass the sign in screen by using a local account that doesn't have a password (there's only me using this machine and it never leaves the house, so why bother protecting it with a password?). But worried by your comments I've just set up netplwiz in 2004 to sign in automatically with my one other password protected local account. It worked as expected.

Thanks Bree, if I do an upgrade from build 1909 I agree that netplwiz works as intended, but by doing a fresh install from iso then when you go to netplwiz it opens with NO check box to tick. I have now tried this on 3 machines with the same outcome. Yes I can overcome this by using Brink.s registry mod the main reason to using netplwiz is that I look after several machines for the older generation and they wouldn't have a clue in the registry and I would forever be reloading thier machines. i realize it is early days and sooner or later someone will overcome it.

Sounds like a bug if it's there in an upgrade but not a clean install. I have asked Brink to look at this.
