Hello,
I've been a long-time XP user(Yep, never learned Vista,W7,W8, or W8.whatever) and since the lockdown decided to do some upgrades. Have new(2me) HP laptop and desktop systems w/W10, and finding it a bit frustrating learning all the interface changes. tenforums has been coming up a lot in my searches with some good info. Took me forever just to learn how to share a frickin network drive(thanx to whoever wrote the tutorial).
Anyway, I try to do my homework before posting, but can overlook the obvious. Bear with me while I get over this stupid hurdle. :)
Cheers,
Jinny
...and thanx to whoever runs this place for making it secure access.
Hello! I'm a power Windows user and I'm glad I found this forum. Seems like there's a lot of useful stuff here, plus, the visual design is great.
That would be Brink, our tireless Administrator. You can literally thank him by clicking the 'thumbs up' beneath his avatar on the tutorial.
If you have a mix of XP and W10 on your network then you may need to enable SMB1 client in W10 for it to see the XP shares, and SMB1 server for XP to see W10's shares.
New to this forum, but been with Microsoft since MS-DOS 3.3
