Looking for lightweight Windows that I can put on old Win XP computer

Who is "you". The OP posted in April. I doubt he's looking at this anymore.

FWIW: I have an old Dell Vostro 1500 laptop. Intel Centrino Duo running at 2GHz, 4GByte of RAM and about 160GByte HDD. Must be about 15 years old at a guess. It originally ran Windows XP which I wanted to keep as I have a scanner and software that doesn't work on anything else.

I loaded Win10 Pro 64bit onto it as a dual boot system; roughly about 80Gbytes for each version of OS. It wont win prizes for speed but it does allow me to play with most things before I put them onto my work station.

Time to bite the bullet and recycle that old machine. As much as I'd love to keep it and sometimes envy those with working versions of their old machines, I have to face reality of not having room to store old tech, nor the time to deal with it.

Current PC showing some signs of failure coming, so time to replace it, even though this one is only 4 years old. Current PC (HP ENVY 17 laptop) will become my new reserve computer after I get its replacement set up.

Rule in our house is, something new comes in, something old goes out. So, I pulled the HDD from the old 2005 laptop and boxed it for recycling when the world gets back closer to normal.
