    Ae3799t,

You may be right about Expression Web. You probably don't want to hear this... but it seems like Expression Web does create a bunch of files.. So much so, that they built a tool to clean them up with... FP Cleaner....

This link Expression Web Tutorials - Css Tutorials - BlueHost Tutorials has this verbiage:
FP Cleaner for Expression Web 4 Off Site Link -
A long time staple for clearing up problems in Expression Web. Clear the Hidden Temporary Files as well as the Hidden Web Cache files among other things.
This is the site for FP - Front Page Cleaner... It says that the program does not require installation (whatever that means).... FP Cleaner for FrontPage, Expression Web and SharePoint Designer available – it-blogger.net

On the page, a heading reads:
FP Cleaner for FrontPage, Expression Web and SharePoint Designer available for download

FP Cleaner is a simple clean up utility for FrontPage, Expression Web and SharePoint Designer. FP Cleaner finds and deletes the files that may be causing errors in FrontPage when opening or closing your website or web pages. FP Cleaner does not require installation and will run from the desktop. The program will run on any of the current Windows system.
It appears that this is a long-standing problem... as FP Cleaner is from 2010.

So my sugg. is to try it and see if it cleans up said temp files.... If it does, then likely they were created by the program you stated.
    ..

I hope I got everyone who tried to help with this issue with a "thanks". I did try everyone's suggestions and almost gave up, but I went through some of the other files in some of the folders and kept seeing MS Visual Studio. Then I went though the Installed programs list and uninstalled both MS Visual Studio Tools and MS Visual Studio.

That fixed the constant filling up of the %temp% folder. Once again, thank you to everyone who tried to help. All good food for thought. Thanks again. Frank

I recommend starting a new thread.

    When did this start?

What changes were made before this, say everything in the 24 hours before this started.

I would try this clean boot process. This should very quickly identify whether this is Windows or a third party software.

Also open Task manager, performance, resource monitor. Click the disk task, what program / app is doing all the writing to the SSD?

    You have infections.

PhoenixMiner is a Coin Miner. You see the word coin in several of your entries.

Remove all extensions from your browsers. Check your host file for unwanted entries.

Then I would run Malwarebytes. After it cleans run a complete scan again, all drives.

Include drives, usb keys you are plugging in.
