    Hi,

I messed up bad. I changed the Folderownership of the user/appdata folder and checked the apply to all subfolders mark.

The consequences are are as you can imagine quite bad. Programs can't access their settings, the os itself is freaking out, can't acces system repair, ...
Why did you feel you needed to change those permissions? There's no reason mess with those.

I probably wil have to resort to a reinstall I suppose?
    Probably.

Also not a fan of all those third party fix it apps as you never know what else you get with them. In all my 20+ years of PC building I've used little to no third party fix it or tweak apps. And I don't use any on Windows 10.

Yes that became painfully obvious. Going with the reinstall option. Will have to do a complete fresh on tho. Cant change the safe os thing either.

In any case, you guys where awsome!

I'll see you on the other side .

    Good luck

And two pieces of advice - 1) Leave certain Permission settings alone (OS). 2) Back. Backup. Backup.

    Peace
